As defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary, community simply means, “a unified body of individuals.” In our current world, how do we navigate to find a sense of community? For so many, members bridge the gap between isolation and community. AmeriCorps members provide a diverse range of services for the individuals they serve. Community Cares AmeriCorps members have the ability to dive into any situation and make the best of it, learn from it, and serve with their fullest potential. These members see a need, and seek action to take care of that need.
The AmeriCorps team discussed some of the challenges our Community Cares AmeriCorps members face throughout their terms of service. Diana stated, "It was great to learn about TCAC's Community Cares AmeriCorps members and their important mission to change the lives of individuals they are serving."
